* Adults, grab your scout and/or family and head out to TL James. They are letting us drive up to the campsite on Friday between the hours of 5pm-dark to unload and leave your items/set up your tent/leave an ice chest, etc. Driving into the campsites is not allowed on Saturday. A wagon or dolly may be helpful if you are not setting up on Friday night. I will get more specific about our campsite in follow-up emails. There is an administration office in the heart of TL James, turn left and follow the signs to CUB WORLD.
If there is no burn ban, bring lots of hot dogs and s'mores to roast at night. We have seen all kinds of outdoor food prepared. Keep it simple with hot dogs - or go all out with steaks on a propane grill. As for lunch on Saturday, bring sandwiches, chips, cookies to make it easy on you! Be prepared to bring your food and take your trash home when you leave.
At 9:00am on Saturday, they will begin with a flag ceremony followed by rotations that are the most fun. If you arrive later than 9am due to sports...do not worry, you can jump right in for the next rotation. The schedules are very organized.
Adults and Cubs, there will be Archery, BB shooting, Camping and lots of games. Must register at the links above.
BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR ARMBAND WHILE AT CAMP!
BSA policy does not allow Lions to participate in BB guns. Any Non-Scouts shooting must be a minimum of 8 years old.
You are welcome to fish in the pond: free crickets and worms available at the trading post. Cane Poles are there, but many like to bring their own fishing equipment.
Absolutely no smoking, alcohol, or open toed shoes allowed in camp!
***On any Cub Scout Campout - designate one person to keep track of all awards and belt loops earned. Upon return, give this list with awards and scout names to the leaders in your pack.
Camping:
